“…there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth

“A certain man had two sons:

And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine

And he would have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunge I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you,

And am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancinAnd he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Your brother is come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve you, neither transgressed I at any time your commandment: and yet thou never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
But as soon as this your son was come, which has devoured your living with harlots, you havekilled for him the fatted calf.

And he said unto him, Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was good that we should make merry, and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”. Luke 15:11-32

Never Forget

Thinking of my Dad today and missing him so.

I will See you “in the morning” Dad….that bright and glorious morning when we are all gathered together at the feet of Jesus…….longing for that day. I love you Daddy……

Quiet Morning

Don’t you just love the sound of a quiet morning? You know that “small” space of time just before the house is awake with those joyful noises of life. The happy chatter of your children, the whirring of the washing machine, doors opening and closing, the sounds and aromas as you prepare and set the table for breakfast, the smell of coffee brewing.

But for this moment all is quiet. As I sit here, curled up on my comfy couch, sipping my morning coffee, I can’t help but reflect on how much God loves me. I am amazed, no, I am Astounded by His tremendous love and mercy and grace, so undeserved by me.

Ephesians 1:4-9
Verse 4
According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
Verse 5
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Verse 6
To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.
Verse 7
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;
Verse 8
Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Verse 9
Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” James 1:5-6

God parted the Red Sea for the children of Israel…His people. You are His child and one of His “people”.

What is your Red Sea today? Is it fear, worry, anxiety, despair, depression, addiction, oppression? God will part Your Red Sea for You … If you Trust Him and Step out in Faith, just like the Israelites did see Exodus chapters 14 and 15.

Today in The Word.

Deut.. 31:6-7

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, He it is that doth go with you: He will not fail you, nor forsake you. And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for you must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and you shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, He it is that doth go before you; He will be with you, He will not fail you, neither forsake you, fear not, neither be dismayed.” See also Deut. 31:23; Deut. Chapters 1 & 2

1 Chron. 19:12b-13

“If the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will help thee. Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.”

1 Chron. 22:12-13

“Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God. Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.”

1 Chron 28:20

“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.”

Ezra 10:4;

“Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.”

Psalm 27:14

“Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Psalm 31:21-24.

“Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD”

These are a few of the passages that have encouraged and empowered me. My prayer is that God will speak to you in a very personal way through His Word today.

Forever By God’s Grace
